Livery members are permitted to continue to exercise their horses and enjoy the country base space.  And now under level 3, members not stabled in ICB are also permitted to exercise their horses here as well.

The ICB yard was one of the first in the area to get permission for owners to exercise their horses and have been doing this for nearly a month in the open space of Country Base. A great relief for horses and riders alike and all strictly done abiding with the COVID -19 formalities.  Our staff and management have now been locked down in Inanda Country Base for ten weeks, and for the continued operation of the stables it is essential that cleanliness and sanitisation of all outsiders coming in is thoroughly carried out.

As level 3 lockdown commenced, we are allowed to have non-resident members/owners come and use their ICB grounds as well. To maintain the controls and social distances, it has been agreed that no more than 6 outside-member riders at one time can join the 70 horses already accommodated on ICB.  To control this number pre-booking of times is essential, and for COVID controls access for everyone has to be through the main Rose road gate security.  Anyone, member or not, will not be allowed access if not on security’s list, please rather phone management if you have a problem as the gate man is purely doing his job.

Bearing in mind that the Inanda Club’s main focus and constitution is equestrian based, horse activities always have preference.  However, both Forrest road and Country Base offer very attractive and secure walking space for members and their well controlled dogs.  Full members are welcome at both Inanda Club, Sandton and Inanda Country Base, Kyalami – But will need to produce their current membership cards to gain access and go through the COVID prevention procedures.

Inanda Polo

As level 3 lockdown commenced, the Inanda Club and SAPA have given permission for the polo members to exercise their ponies and do individual stick and ball.  The Club and the Polo section have circulated the access regulations necessary.

Access to space – Inanda has it all

Lockdown has really emphasised the importance and the advantages of being a member of the Inanda Club – especially out here at Country Base.  Through the five weeks of level 5 lockdown, the 70 ICB horses were well looked after and turned out during the day in the big paddocks available on ICB’s 100ha and since the 7th of May the members were able to exercise over the entire property. Getting out and about in the fresh air is wonderful when those around us are so restricted by lockdown.

If the use of Inada club and Inanda Country Base appeals to you, and you would consider membership, send us a message on the contact page. and we will get back to you with membership options and stabling availability.
